Monday Morning North America Roundup

A short and sweet Monday morning read.  A quiet Sunday evening across North American soccer.

DC United  3:1  Chivas USA

DC United ruined the fun for Chivas USA, who saw their four-game winning streak snapped on Sunday night.  Eddie Johnson and Perry Kitchen were goal scorers for United.  Johnson picked up his third goal of the season (after last night, two of which are now from penalty kicks) as he played the full 90 minutes.  Kitchen picked up a first half yellow card as he also went the length.  Bill  Hamid had a solid night between the pipes for DC, while 24-year-old Jared Jeffrey, a member of the 2012 USA Olympic qualifying squad, was an 84th minute substitute.

On the losing side was 19-year-old Marco Delgado, who played 90 minutes just three days after winning the NTC Invitational with the USA U-20 squad.  It was his 8th MLS start of the year.
